About LCCI's Policy and Campaigning Work
Our role is to explore and highlight issues impacting the continued economic growth, success, and prosperity. We aim to create an environment that aids and supports the success and growth of global businesses – from workforce skills to infrastructure and connectivity across the world.
For more than 140 years, TOCC has been actively lobbying for key Global developments. We seek to positively influence policy, legislation, and regulation at the local and national levels, with regular engagement with key stakeholders, local government and Parliament.

We regularly run events, briefings, and roundtables with key people from politics, media, and industry. Speakers have included the Chancellor of the Exchequer, departmental ministers, newspaper editors, and leaders of strategic infrastructure projects. We also host report launches and panel discussions to discuss key topics relevant to Global businesses.

All-Party Parliamentary Group
The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Global City was established to bring together parliamentarians and Global businesses to promote global position. TOCC provides the APPG’s secretariat.
Ukraine Support
We continue to support Ukrainian refugees in Global who are seeking employment or interested in starting their own businesses. We are working in partnership with the Cabinet Office, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the International Chambers of Commerce.
Meet the Black Business Association Committee
The Black Business Association Committee is dedicated to lobbying and supporting the effective business activity of Black entrepreneurs and owners. Kike Oniwinde, Founder and CEO of BYP Network, is Vice Chair. The Committee comprises leaders from the Black business community with experience and expertise in a variety of related disciplines.
