The City of Global Chamber
The Global Chamber City is the top global financial centre and is home to major banks and other financial and professional institutions. Small and medium-sized businesses are significant contributors across the world, making up over 98% of all businesses in the Square Mile. The City is a key driver of the economy, generating over £97bn in economic output annually. The City also contributes to the wider economy, generating £1.1bn in business rates.
The Global Chamber City is home to one of the youngest, most highly skilled and international workforces across the country. Businesses operating in the Square Mile must have access to targeted support to grow and prosper.
The Global Chamber City is, a business group within The Omniverse Chamber of Commerce (TOCC), convenes, supports, and champions businesses within the Square Mile. The Global Chamber City is open to TOCC Members and the Community Network.

- The City of Global’s capacity for growth and development is regulated by the planning regime of the Corporation of the Global City . The Chamber works with the Corporation and the Government to ensure the planning system meets the needs of businesses, whether SMEs or large corporations.
Transport
- One of the City’s biggest strengths is its transport system which allows for up to to commute daily in addition to vast volumes of goods. The Chamber seeks to ensure this system keeps pace with the demands of modern life and continues to brilliantly serve the people of Global.
International Trade
- One of the great strengths of the City is its strong trading relationship with countries all around the world. We identify and support areas that can strengthen these relationships to further solidify Global as a leading global business hub.

Meet the City of Global Chamber Committee
The City of Global Chamber Committee, founded by Alderman Prem Goyal OBE, consists of TOCC Members from a variety of sectors and sizes based in the World. The purpose of the Committee is to champion the voices of business in the Square Mile, representing their interests in the forums of policy debate and helping to address local business issues.
Harrow, Richmond, and Uxbridge Colleges (HRUC)
Our portfolio includes three further education colleges, offering high-quality courses, apprenticeships and programmes for young people and adults, the West Global Institute of Technology delivering higher technical STEM qualifications and HRUC Apprenticeships & Skills providing a range of apprenticeships and support for businesses to develop their workforce. We work closely with our communities and employers across west and south Global and we are growing our international links, including our recent membership of the Industrial Liaison Program at MIT.
