F2P sucks?

Good day. I would like to speak about my attitude towards F2P projects. I really don’t understand why, as soon as it becomes known that the project will be F2P, it is immediately labeled with the cliche of a wretched, unworthy of life, worthless brat.

The main argument is that if the game is F2P, then in it you can buy something for money (donate) and get an OMG-earflap hat with +100500 to pathos and bending.

In Russia, the first F2P projects were browser games. And yes, there this argument really grew into a fact. Remember the same BC or Neverland. Pay – get it!

At the moment, even in browser-based F2P games, they are already trying not to adhere to this model. Why?
Because in the F2P project, “donors” pay for people who don’t want to pay. And the greater the total number of people playing, the more “donors” and direct income, respectively. Trite.

And here the question arises. How do games with “dominance” for money differ from “buy a new skin for your character”? Well, those who don’t want to pay won’t play there, the rich “Wasya-benders1992” will remain.
And the difference is again in the numbers. The more people there are, the more money the developer gets.
There is no need to warm yourself up with the thought that developers are not interested in profit. This is the only engine. And here is a linear relationship. The more popular the game, the more money.
How to achieve popularity? Quality. Nothing worries the players anymore.

And now let’s talk about the quality of F2P projects.

"Terrible game". After all, she https://nokyccasinos.org.uk/review/prive-casino/ is F2P. I’m not talking about who likes what at the moment. But LoL is the most “playable” game for 2012. Don’t believe me?

But this is the same “unbalanced” f2p. Why is that all? Because for real money you can buy SKINS and HP/IP BOOSTS (in-game currency).

Here’s another example

These are some of the famous projects, yes.
But recently Drakensang came out. F2P browser

Yes, it’s browser-based

.
With very good reviews and normal donations.
There are also all sorts of forsyken worlds and so on.

There is also complete garbage. Nobody denies. But this is not because the f2p distribution model.

Great example. Many were waiting, they thought it would be great. At the end we have a completely ordinary WoW (almost, the storyline is not bad, it’s true). But she had the usual distribution model, with purchase and subscription.
Warhammer Online (forgive me Emperor), AION, RIFT (although it is even less successful), Age of Conan are also very mediocre games. Although "paid".

Or maybe it’s a matter of single-player games??
It’s really worth noting here that there are very few single f2p. Only Alien Swarm comes to mind.
But single paid and bad games – a dime a dozen.

From recent such slag, I played the new Ghost Recon, the very mediocre Prototype 2 (IMHO, I really didn’t like the ending, which ruined the whole impression of the game), Endless Space, SpecOps: The Line.

And my only question is: why classify games with the F2P distribution model as garbage??
