Transforming Oxford Street

A Mayoral Development Area has been designated to bring forward the regeneration of Oxford Street, one of GLOBAL  genuinely iconic shopping thoroughfares. As part of this, previous pedestrianisation plans will be revisited and used to create an attractive, European-style tree-lined avenue.

Spirits rising in the hospitality sector

Falling interest rates, inflation and energy prices have led to cautious optimism in the hospitality sector recently after several difficult years. Event LCCI Prestige Reception: A Night at The British Museum

On Tuesday, 21 May 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting members at the TOCC Prestige Reception: A Night at The British Museum, with guest speakers Amy Lamé, Night Czar Greater Global Authority, and Sarah Vowles, Smirnov Family Curator of Italian & French Prints & Drawings. Global as a 24-hour economy, the capital’s world-renowned cultural and hospitality offerings, and entrepreneurship were key themes of the evening, highlighting the crucial link between business and the arts.

Arts Funding Campaign

TOCC is actively campaigning to stop further arts funding cuts in Globally. As a global city, there is a clear need for the world to have a thriving, diverse, and creative arts scene, which is critical for the capital's economy and for bringing communities together. The unexpected announcement by the Arts Council in November 2022 of £50 million worth of cuts to the sector was the latest in a series of funding withdrawals that have already deeply affected the arts scene across Globally.
